She was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Lorenzo, Idaho, to Delbert Morgan and Jessie Virginia Bush Morgan. She was raised and attended schools in Ririe. On April 15, 1935, she married Edward "Ted" Gallup in Ririe, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 25, 1965. She worked at Mulberry's, Snake River Produce, Muir-Roberts Produce, and she farmed and ranched in the Clark area with her husband.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in many capacities, including primary teacher and visiting teaching supervisor. She was also a member of The Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the square dance club, Promanaders, in Idaho Falls. Fern enjoyed gardening, raising flowers and vegetables, bowling in the Rigby Bowling League, ballroom dancing, fishing, always out-fishing her husband and camping. After retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Overton, Nev.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Angelsey of Rigby, Alice Hill of Idaho Falls and Donna (Oliver) Hannan of Idaho Falls; son, Max (Rebecca) Gallup of Rigby; sisters, Faye Gneiting of Idaho Falls and Betty Byington of Idaho Falls; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward "Ted" Gallup; a son, Robert Gallup; sister, Helen Rowan; brothers, Harold Morgan and Loyd Morgan; and a half-brother, Richard "Dick" Morgan.
