Listed on the United States Federal Census of 1850, Bandola District, Cobb County, Georgia; with a wife and five children.

CSA: Company H, 16th Georgia Infantry. Made up of the "Flint Hill Greys of Gwinnett, Georgia. Died in Battle in the Civil War at Yorktown, Virginia. Shot in the head. His son Thomas Marion was with him when it happened.
