Born on the homestead in Osborne County, Paul never married. He lived for a number of years in a log cabin on the bank of the creek near his parents and helped them farm.

- Paul Hobbie, oldest son of Mrs. August Hobbie, died Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the home of his mother. He had been sick in bed since December from the effects of the "flu." He was buried at Shockley Cemetery Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by his mother, three sisters and three brothers. The deceased was of a quiet nature and liked by all. The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved family.
