Osborne County Farmer 1938: Emma Johanna Hobbie, youngest daughter of Alfred and Mary Hobbie passed from this life on Sunday, July 10, 1938. Se was born five miles southwest of Tipton on March 26, 1887, and grew to womanhood there. Since 1920 she had made her home with her mother and her sister, Bertha, in Osborne. Left to mourn her departure are her eldery mother, Mrs. Mary Hobbie, two sisters, Bertha of the home and Mrs. J.F. Cordel of Randall; three brothers, A.J. and George Hobbie of Tipton and H.E. Hobbie of Fullerton, CA., and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services wee held at the Congregational Church with Rev. John H. Jones in charge. Burial at the Union Cemetery, Tipton.
