COOKEVILLE Funeral services were held yesterday at the First Methodist Church in Cookeville for John Allison, 58, of 280 Linnaeus Avenue. He died Monday at his home after an extended illness. James Clardy and Charles Galbreath officiated at the services that were held at 2 p.m. Burial was in Cookeville City Cemetery.

A native of Putnam County, Mr. Bullington was the son of Linnie M. and Cora Allison Bullington. He was professor of civil engineering at Tennessee Tech, a member of the order of the Engineer, Chi Epsilon, Rotary Club and the Gideons. He was also a member of Parkview Methodist Church.

Bullington is survived by his wife, Mrs. Temperance Bullington; two sons, Joe and William Bullington; daughterinlaw, Carol Sue Bullington; and grandson, Christopher Shawn Bullington. All are residents of Cookeville.

Whitson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
