CLEAR SPRING - Mary Jane Sword, 67, Route 2, died at the Washington County Hospital on Thursday morning after an illness of 12 days. She was the daughter of the late John C. and Bessie (Bricker) Sword.
She was a member of the Blairs Valley Church of God.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Eichelberger, Clear Spring; sisters, Mrs. Catherine Suffecool, Miss Florence Sword, Mrs. Helen Keefer all of Clear Spring; brothers, Grover, Fred, Jess, and John, all of Clear Spring; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Blairs Valley Church of God with the Rev. Robert Easterday officiating,with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the Rowland Funeral Home in Clear Spring this evening from 7 to 9.
