Obituary:

Anderson Monroe Moudy son of Silas and Martha (Roller) Moudy, was born on October 7, 1880 at Seligman, Mo., and departed from this life on October 8, 1970 at his home in Purdy, Mo., at the age of 90 years and 1 day.

On November 18, 1903, he was united in marriage with Emma Jane Hazelwood, who preceded him in death. To this union were born ten children, two of them (Flora and Richard Elree) preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing, three sons: Ernest, of Cassville, Mo.; Leslie, of Lindsay, Calif.; and William, of Monett, Mo.; five daughters: Lola Nickle and Dorothy Terry of Purdy, Mo.; Yvonne Ash of Overland Park, Kansas; Elsie Dugan of Salinas, Calif.; and Ruth Patton of Monett, Mo.; one sister, Christina Eubanks of Neosho, Mo.; one brother, Earl, of Purdy, Mo.; 42 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Brother Moudy was a member of the Church of God Holiness congregation at the Log Church, and was faithful to the church so long as the condition of his health permitted. He will always be remembered by his prayers and testimonies. He supported the cause of true Bible holiness and though he was not able to come under the tabernacle for the camp meeting in July, 1970, his son brought him, and he enjoyed the service while sitting in the car.

His funeral service was conducted by the writer on October 11 at Log Church, using as a text Rev. 14:6-13. Interment was made in Russell Cemetery.

May God Bless each member of the family.
