Mrs. Emma Moudy
Mrs. Emma Jane Moudy, 81, rural Purdy, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday at her home.
Mrs. Moudy was born Aug. 15, 1884, at Hampton, Neb. She had lived in Purdy most of her life and was a member of the Log Church, near Purdy. She and her husband, A.M. Moudy, had been married 62 years.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Ernest, Cassville, Leslie, Riverside, California, and William, Monett; five daughters, Mrs. Erval Nickle and Mrs. Manford Terry, both of Purdy; Mrs. Loren Ash, Ava, Mo.; Mrs. Albert Dugan, Salinas, Calif., and Mrs. William Patton, Monett; a brother, Frank Hazelwood, Granby; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Moudy, Butterfield, Mo., and Misses Jewell and Ida Hazelwood, both of Cassville; 42 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Log Church. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery near Cassville.
