George retired from Shell Oil Company in Deer Park, Texas.
After his retirement, he and his wife, Eurcal, moved to the Ninevah Community of Leon County where they spent 27 years.
He then moved to Houston in 2000 for 5 years, and later to a retirement home in Katy, TX where he passed away.
George was a Methodist by faith.
He enjoyed gardening and coming back to the Ninevah Community every chance that he got.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eurcal, in 1996; sister, Beatrice Woods, and brother, Sammy Chamberlain.
Survivors include a son, Rex Wayne (Karen) Chamberlain of Fulshear, TX; daughter, Cindy Chamberlain of Jacksonville, TX; adopted brother, Roland Chamberlain of Bullard, TX; grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Chamberlain Chrisman and Brett Allen Chamberlain; great-grandchildren, Ty and Tobi Chrisman and Hadley Chamberlain.
Pallbearers will be Larry Dorman, Stephen Bailey, Jack Bailey, John Bailey, Brett Chamberlain, and Todd Chrisman.
Honorary pallbearers are Mack Vannatta and Harold Ray Collins.
