He resided in Cambria County, Pennsylvania prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 10, 1943 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Farm Hand and also as Single, without dependents.

B-25J #43-36191 was shot down by a Japanese Destroyer and crashed in Phan Rang Bay of the China Coast during the war. The entire crew was lost in this crash.

Myron was declared "Missing In Action" in this crash.

He was awarded the "Distinguished Flying Cross" and the Purple Heart.
