Son of Gaetano & Caroline Milazzo who resided in Brooklyn, New York.

Alfred served as a Technician Fifth Grade, 928th Signal Battalion, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Kings County, New York.

He enlisted in the Army on February 6, 1942 at Camp Upton, Yaphank, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in construction and also as Single, without dependents.

Alfred was a passenger on B-25D #41-30182, 71st Bomber Squadron, 38th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

B-25D #41-30182 took off, with a crew of 5 and 4 passengers, from Saidor Airfield, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea on a courier mission to Nadzab, Morobe Province, Papua New Guinea. This B-25 was not seen nor heard from again after take off.

After the war this B-25 was found to have crashed in the Finisterre Mountains area, Morobe Province, Madang, Papua New Guinea. Multiple recover expeditions were made with the last being in 1999.

Alfred was first declared "Missing In Action" on this flight and his status was changed to "Killed In Action" in the "Line Of Duty" after his remains were recovered.
