Albert served as a Staff Sergeant & Engineer/Gunner on B-26C "Marauder"(#41-34874), 440th Bomber Squadron, 319th Bomber Group, Medium, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Payne County, Oklahoma prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on October 19, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Farm Hand and also as Single, with dependents.

Albert was declared "Missing In Action" on a bombing raid over Northern Italy during the war. He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
