HUSBAND OF EX-BLUFFTON WOMAN, MRS. OSCAR RAY DIES

Husband of former Bluffton resident Mrs. Helen Flowers Ray, Oscar T. Ray, 68, of Decatur Route 6 died suddenly at his home at 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
A farmer and for the past 15 years an employee of Fort Wayne Truck Parts and Equipment, Mr. Ray was born in Kirkland Twp., Adams County, April 20, 1913, a son of Jesse A. and Edith R. Beaber Ray.
He married the former Helen Flowers of Bluffton Jan. 1, 1945.
He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church and the Elks Lodge.
Surviving in addition to the wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Ronnie (Deborah) Butcher of Decatur; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Mary) Erp of Decatur Route 6; one brother, Gerald A. Ray of Decatur; one half-brother, Burman Ray of Tampa, Fla., and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Winteregg-Linn-Haggard Funeral Home in Decatur with Rev. James E. Cheney officiating. Burial will be in the MRE Cemetery in Berne.
Calling at the funeral home will be after 7 p.m. today and all day Saturday.
