Death of Mrs. Ernest W. Barnum (Georgia A.) Barnum last week reduced the number to one the pioneer Pacific Northwest families.

Born at Moscow, Idaho in 1898, she was the youndgest of the 13 children in the family of Mr. and Mrs. William Rowe, and only one sister, Bernice Stalcup, of Albany, remains among the living.

Mr. and Mrs. Barnum were married December 3, 1921 at Roseburg. They spent several years there and at Coos Bay before moving to Pendleton in 1933. Mr Barnum has been in business since, owning and operating Barnum's Trading Post.

Mrs. Barnum was active in women's organizations in Coos Bay and after coming to Pendleton served as chairman of the committee when the last B. P. O. Elks convention was held here. She has been ill the last several years.

Besides her widower and her sister, Mrs. Barnum is survived by her daughter, Zelma Dunkelburg and two grandchildren of Pendleton.

Funeral service was Saturday morning at Folsoms' Funeral Chapel with vault interment at Olney Cemetery.
