REIMER SPEER, FORMER BANGOR SCHOOL SECRETARY

Reimer Speer, 53 N. 4th St., Bangor, former secretary of the Bangor Area School District, died Saturday in Warren Hospital where he was admitted two weeks ago.

Born in Bangor, he was a son of the late Emory and Sarah Reimer Speer.
Mr. Speer retired as secretary of the school district eight years ago. He was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, Bangor. He was a graduate of Bangor High School and Bethlehem Business College and attended Philadelphia Business College. An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Bangor American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts, and Eagles Lodge, Forks Township.

Survivors include his widow, the former Lillian Laber; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Kent, Bangor, and nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Schiavone Funeral Home, Bangor.
