WRIGHT, ARNETA CLEMMER (GRANNY) - age 81 of Knoxville, dearly loved mothr and grandmother, passed away Saturday May 19, 2001 at Hillcrest North. Longtime member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Roy Lee Wright; son, Melvin R. Wright, killed in Vietnam, July 1967; great grand-daughter, Paige Hillard; parents, Ben H. and Myra Mayo Clemmer; brothers, J. C. and Robert Clemmer; sisters, Dorothy, Mildred and Carolyn Clemmer. Survivors include, son, Jim Wilson and wife Lola Wilson of Knoxville; duaghters, Linda Hillard and Janet Corum of Knoxville, Sharon Evans and husband, Dwight of Gulfport, Miss, and Cheryl Collins of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Kevin and Vance Hillard, Amanda and Amelia Wilson, Brad Evans and Allison Evans Maxey, Josh, Lucas and Andrew Corum, Matthew and Noelle Collins; great grandson, Austin Hillard; great granddaughter, Lainey Corum. Also survived by sister, June Blaine of Jefferson City; sisters and brothers in law, Evelyn and Ross Sims and Barbara and Dewey Peters all of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held, Monday May 21, 2001 at 8 p.m. at the McCarty's Evergreen Chapel on Asheville Hwy. with Rev. Mike Murphree officiating. Family and friends will meet Tuesday morning at 10:45 a.m. in the Caledonia Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside service. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements by McCarty's Evergreen Chapel 7426 Asheville Hwy.
