Obituary: Peters, Barbara Clemmer Suits, age 78, passed away on Saturday May 3rd, 2014 after a battle with Acute Leukemia. She was preceded in death by: parents Ben and Myra Mayo Clemmer; three siblings: J.C. Clemmer, Arneta Wright, and June Blaine; and four siblings who died in infancy; and father of her children Bobby Eugene Suits. Barbara is survived by: husband of 36 years Dr. H. Dewey Peters and his son Chip Peters and his two children, and Cindy Walsh and her three children; also leaving behind her three wonderful daughters: Jenny and husband Fredric Alpert, Jill Durham, and Joy and husband Buddy Perrin; her seven grandchildren, Casey and Lucas Scott, Justin, Logan, and Mallory Durham, and Adam and Madisen Clabough; seven great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn Sims; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara attended Carter High School and the University of Tennessee. She has been a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for over 30 years where she has so many devoted friends. She loved her church very much. A celebration of Barbara's life will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Rev. Cesar Correa and Rev. Chase Phillips officiating.
