W. Earl Schell, 78, of Walla Walla died at a local nursing home Monday.
Schell was born Nov. 24, 1887, in Kansas. He was a retired farmer and had been a resident of Walla Walla most of his life. He married his wife, Amelia, in Walla Walla in 1916. She died in 1953.
He is survived by one son, Jack Schell of Spokane; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Joanne) Rojo of Walla Walla; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Struthers of Walla Walla, Mrs. Ruth Page of Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Pearl Frensch of Los Angeles, Calif. He is also survived by six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the DeWitt chapel. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery.
He was a member of the BPOE No. 287.
