Willis Harvey Knifley, 73 years old, died at his home near Knifley last Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Knifley Christian Church, Thursday and burial was in the cemetery at Roley. Mr. Knifley was one of the best known men of the Knifley section and was a progressive farmer and community leader. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Rolland and Murray Knifley; one daughter, Mrs. Mattie Humphress, all of Knifley; one sister, Josie Hendrickson, Knifley; four brothers, J. G. and D. S. Knifley of Knifley, W. R. Knifley, of this city, Tom Knifley, Wichita, Kansas. Pallbearers were Jerry Chelf, Pat Chelf, Joe Able, James Hutchinson, Sam Breeding, and Presley Chelf.
