Daughter of Samuel Jones and Elizabeth Neal, Joannah was the wife of William Bagley. It has been said that Joannah used to shoot the chickens off of her porch with a pistol she carried in her apron pocket. Joannah and Wm. had a total of 16 children. She married William Bagley Dec. 24, 1835. William was the very corner stone, along with his father, Moor Bagley, of Columbus and Cusseta Ga. They were both political, serving in positions of Judges and leaders of the community. Joannah's father Samuel Jones was a wealthy man and owned many slaves. There is a quilt hanging in the Chattahoochee Courthouse that Judge McGlaun's, who is serving the court as of 2012, grandmother quilted. There are 3 all together with so many names embroidered of the people who lived and died in Chattahoochee Co. JOANNAH'S SIBLINGS:Barbara Jones (1790--); Melford Jones (1792--); William T.
