PLAINVILLE - Wilma Shirley Hamel, 89, Plainville, died Sunday Nov 2, 2003. Mrs. Hamel was born Wilma Shirley Glass on July 22, 1914, in Ellis County She retired from bookkeeping for Prickett & Son and was a tax preparer
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. Prickett, in 1966; her second husband, Roy Martin, in 1977; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Wilfred Paul Hamel; two sons, Donald W. Prickett of Hoxie and Joe Prickett of Clearwater; a daughter, Norene S. Reed of Greeley Colo.; four sisters, Dorothy Fowler of Florida, Veda Hayes of Tennessee, Nora Toelkes of Plainville and Dolly Engle of Hays; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Plainville. Burial will be in Plainville Cemetery
Memorials may be made to the church. Visitation will be this afternoon and before services Thursday at Moore Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville 67663.
