d/o Arthur Thamm and Ernestine Eisman-Thamm

Married 1st: William Daniel Lehman(n) abt 1900 in Texas and had 5 children before he passed away 26 July 1920 of multiple psorsis at the early age of 41. Ernestine is buried next to him in Hillside Cemetery in Cuero, Dewitt County, Texas. Ernestine remarried 7 years later to Meinert Rathkamp (also widowed).

Note: Two brothers born in Germany (Paul Rudolph Lehmann & Maximilian Johann Lehmann) were sons of Carl Ludwig Gustav Lehmann - the name was LEHMANN, but Paul's side dropped the double 'n' and his father and brother Max's did not - so the name was LEHMANN, but Paul's line of which William Daniel Lehman(n) is son of Paul, dropped the double 'n').

Ernestine's sister: Ida Frances Thamm married Gustav
Lehman(n) (brother to William Daniel Lehmann). So, sisters married brothers.

Married 2nd: Meinert Rathkamp (widower) on 27 July 1927 in Yoakum, Dewitt county, Texas. Meinert is buried in Hermann Sons Cemetery (along side his 1st wife, Johanna Schelsteds-Rathkamp who died of hepititis contributed by gall stone complications on 13 Feb 1922)in Yoakum, Dewitt, Texas. (See Rathkamp bible page excerpt "Notation" below)

Meinert died 15 Nov 1939 with heart problems, leaving Ernestine a widow for a 2nd time.

Ernestine Thamm-Lehmann-Rathkamp died suddenly of coronary thrombosis on 07 April 1960 at the age of 77.

Notation: Meinert Rathkamp's family bible states "married my girlfriend on July 27, 1927" when he remarried to Ernestine in 1927 ... which was sweet.

"Many thanks to Gary & Tanya E. Smejkal for emailing me copy of Meinert Rathkamp's bible page entry. Gary is a Rathkamp decendent via his maternal side, Meinert was Gary's maternal side great grandfather)." With info they sent, I was able to add this update to Ernestine's biograhy on June 24, 2011. Thanks Gary & Tanya!
