MRS. LOUISE FLOYD BENNETT

Mrs. Louise Floyd Bennett, age 80, of 48 Ridgeview Drive, Silver Creek, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence.

Mrs. Bennett was born in Floyd County on Nov. 22, 1923, daughter of the late Roy and Clara Mize Floyd. She graduated from Rome High School and later from West Georgia College. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the Floyd County School System as a secretary at Pepperell Elementary School following 20 years employment. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the Rome Bridge Club for several years and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband of over 53 years, Cliff Bennett, to whom she was married on July 14, 1950 at the First Baptist Church of Lindale; a son, Marc Bennett, Atlanta; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the graveside in the Rome Midway Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Pillip May will officiate. The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence.

Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home Thursday at 10 a.m. and include: Harley Giles, James Douglas, William Bradshaw, Clint Yates, Jack Martin, Greg Canady and Buddy Rayburn.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
