Daughter of Willem Gouwens and Pietertje Plak. Wife of Hendrik Swets. Jannigje immigrated with her parents and siblings on the "Louvre" out of Rotterdam, arriving in New York on 5 July 1848. She is buried in the old dutch section of the cemetery, sometimes referred to as Mount Holland, or Old Holland.
