She never could talk about her son Nathan , who was killed in Korea...she would always change the subject...and I didn't push.
She had the greatest laugh, and even into her old age..she would be talking normal to you...all of a sudden get that "twinkle" in her eye and shout out "bet I can beat ya!" and take off running (and she usually did beat us!)

She was a home-maker and a member of the Gold Star Mother's Club. Mrs. McDonald is survived by her son, Donald ; daughters, Roberta Humbel and Patt Kwas ; sister Harriett Harper , all of Chippewa Lake; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service; 2:30 p. m., Sunday, Waite and Son Memorial Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. The Rev. Fay Botten will officiate. Private family burial, Monday, Westfield Center. Visiting hour: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m., Saturday at the funeral home.
