MARY S. HEESS

83 of 2219 1st Ave., died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 1979, in Mercy Hospital. Known as Mayme, she was born Dec. 21, 1895, in St. Augustine, the daughter of Edward and Catherine (McDermitt) Ivory, and married Herman Heess, who died Nov. 13, 1954. Surviving are a son, Raymond Scheirer, with whom she resided, two grandchildren and a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Florence Cummings of Altoona, Gerald of Tampa, Fla., and Charles of Ashville. Mrs. Heess was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ladies Auxiliary and Altar and Rosary Society. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Stevens Mortuary.


HEESS – The funeral of Mary S. Heess of 2219 1st Ave. will be held with a mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Stevens Mortuary, 1421 8th Ave., where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
