On Tuesday, January 15, 1946, at Walter Reed Hospital, Maj. Gen. Roderick L. Carmichael, U.S.A., retired, beloved husband of the late Jane McCallum Carmichael, father of Mrs. J.E. Stephens, Jr., Mrs. L.O. Dickinson, Roderick L. Carmichael, Jr., who is a lieutenant colonel, U.S.A., and Mrs. G.R. Mather; brother of Dr. T.W. Carmichael, Mr. Edward Carmichael, the Rev. Corwin Carmichael and Miss Bertie Carmichael. Remains resting at Chambers funeral home, 1400 Chapin St. NW, until Friday, January 18, at 2 p.m. Services at Fort Myer Chapel, Fort Meyer, Va., at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors. Interment Arlington National Cemetery.
