Addie E. Cecil, 98, Louisville, formerly of New Hope, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Augustus V. Cecil; a daughter, Sylvia Estelle Cloyd; father, Alonzo Benedict Cheshire; and mother, Alice Mae Hall Cheshire. Survivors include: a daughter, Cathy Arlene Arnold, Xenia, OH; four sons, Joseph Ronald Cecil, Sevierville, TN, Stephen Wayne Cecil, Columbus, IN, Thomas Richard Cecil, Louisville, and Alton Ray Cecil, Louisville. The funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6105 S. Third St., Louisville. Rev. Philip Erickson officiated. Burial was at 2:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Raywick. Mattingly Funeral Home, Loretto, was in care of arrangements.

Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6105 South Third Street, Louisville with the Rev. Phillip Erickson officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. on Monday January 25, 2010 and from 8-9:30 A.M. on Tuesday January 26, 2010 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road in Louisville. Burial will be at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Raywick, KY. Memorial contributions may be made for Masses for Addie or to the Mass of the Air or St. Thomas More Church.
