Paralee Phillips Bowman, age 85, of Route 4, Huntsville, near Marble passed away at her home Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7:45 a.m. She was born in Madison County Nov. 12, 1865, and was a lifelong resident here. She was a daughter of Reuben Phillips and Emmaline Dotson Phillips.
Her husband, William Bowman, died April 15, 1900. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors are three sons, James Bowman of Huntsville, Henry Bowman of Aurora, and John Bowman of Seneca, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Mandy Watson and Mrs. Annie Davis, both of Huntsville.
Funeral services were conducted today (Dec. 14, 1950) at 2:00 p.m., at the Lower Wharton schoolhouse by the Rev. Riggs Yarbrough. Burial was in Wharton Creek cemetery with arrangements by Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
Pallbearers were Roy, Charlie, Karl, Vernon, Allen and Vester Bowman, Daniel Watson and Alvin Davis.
