OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - May 15, 1954
Scott Walmer, 74, a life resident of Wabash County, died at 11:50 p.m. Friday in his home at 303 West Sinclair Street. His death was caused by a stroke which he suffered three and one half hours earlier.
Born June 13, 1879 in Roann to David and Elzia Jane (Jeffries), Walmer he had resided in Wabash 70 years. His marriage to Mary Jane Harrell took place in Huntington March 20, 1904. He was a member of the Christian Church and a former member of the K. of P. Lodge, which he served as treasurer for 11 years.
Only survivors are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Garl C. Harvey; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. James Y. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home where friends may call.
