David Walmer, 88, died Sunday evening at 8:15 o'clock in his home on North Comstock street after suffering a heart attack Sunday morning.
He was the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Penna) Walmer and was born in Harrisburg, Pa. He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Mr. Walmer was married to Elizabeth Jane Jeffries in Roann by the Rev. David Neff 65 years ago last October.
Surviving are the widow, one son, Scott Walmer, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Walmer came to Wabash 62 years ago. Mr. Walmer came here to work for the E.L. Bechtol shoe store and later was employed by Renner Bros. store.
Funeral servcies will be held in the family residence, 453 North Comstock street, Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Elwood Dun officiating. The body will be returned to the family residence from the Jones Funeral home Monday afternoon. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
