Following the All-Empire Census of January 1897, the following excerpts were taken from the metrical books for the town of Uman:
*file 2530 Registration book of Jews about births for year 1898 in Uman town, 214 sheets. Sheet 108 rear-side –109, record 218 of July 1st that a son Moishe -Khaim was born.
His father is Aron Borukhovich Sherman, bourgeois of Uman', trader. His mother is Ita Moishe -Khaimovna.
