POCATELLO - Raymond Frank Hacking, 63, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009, peacefully while in the company of family members at a local care center. As per his wishes, Raymond was cremated under the care and direction of Downard Funeral Home. A full obituary will be in the Sunday edition of the Idaho State Journal.

Deceased Name: RAYMOND FRANK HACKING

POCATELLO - Raymond Frank Hacking, 63, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, November 18th, 2009 peacefully while in the company of family members at a local care center. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on August 21, 1946, the son of the late Henry Franklin and Pearl Caroline (Tillotson) Hacking. Raymond graduated from Pocatello High School in 1965. He served in the National Guard in the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1969.


He worked for the railroad as well as a lineman for the phone company. Raymond was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Raymond loved cars, especially '56 Chevys. He loved working on the railroad. His hobbies included horses, rodeos, fishing and camping as well as photography. He especially loved his family.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pearl Hacking; brothers Vern and Gene; and sisters, Buhla and Lorna. He survived by two daughters, Stacey Schwausch of Palm Springs, California, and Michelle L.G. Hacking of Lakewood, Wash.; two sisters, Shirley Parris of Alabama, and Sharon Nelson of Pocatello, Idaho; two brothers, Lynn Hacking of Florida, and Craig Hacking of Montpelier, Idaho. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jodi, Jennika, Kayla, Kasondra.

As per his wishes, Raymond was cremated under the care and direction of Downard Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at a later date at Mountain View Cemetery.
