Homer Elmore, 81, widower of Eilene Brookshire Elmore, died March 5, 2001, at Oakmont East.

A native of Greer, son of the late John M. and Ada Greer Elmore. He was a member of the Class of 1940 at Wofford College. He also completed graduate work at Furman University. He was a retired personnel manager of Jackson Mills and a charter member of Riverside Baptist Church.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Thomas Lee Bradford of Easley; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Donna McGee Elmore of Fort Motte; one brother, Glenn Elmore, of Greenville; three grandchildren, John Graham Elmore, Ashton McGee Elmore and Mary-Elizabeth Elmore, all of Fort Motte; and one great-grandchild, Jonathan Reid Elmore. Mr. Elmore was predeceased by a brother, William M. Elmore.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Bill Penick. Graveside services will be held at Wood Memorial Park, conducted by Jerry Stepp.

Visitation will be held today from 1 to 2 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary.

The family will be at their respective homes.

Memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church, 1249 S. Suber Road, Greer, SC 29650.
