NEWVILLE Harvey Donald Shearer Sr., 90, of Swaim Health Center, and formerly of Ritner Highway, died yesterday in the home. He retired as a custodian at Plainfield Elementary School; had worked as a driver for Henry's Bakery in Shippensburg; and was a member of First United Presbyterian Church. He was the widower of Nina Mae Gardner Shearer. Surviving are four sons, H. Donald Jr. of Shippensburg, William L. and Kenneth L., both of Newville, and Richard L. of Huntingdon; four daughters, Doris Warren of Carlisle, Gloria Williams of Mechanicsburg, Twila Winters of Shippensburg, and Linda Bowles of Newville; a brother, Leroy Shearer of Shippensburg; a sister, Elizabeth Butts of Chambersburg; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Egger Funeral Home. Burial will be in Upper Path Valley Cemetery, Spring Run. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of his church, 111 Big Spring Ave., Newville 17241.
