David L. Morgan

David L Morgan, 60, of 1704 Kissingbower Road died Sunday in a local infirmary after a three week illness.
A native of Augusta, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Beaugart (sic) Morgan,
A veteran of the World War I, Mr. Morgan was a member of the Hancock's Barracks of the Veterans of World War I. He was also past state commander of the Disables American Veterans, a member of the Louis L. Batty Post No. 4 American Legion and the Men's Bible class of the Second Baptist Church. He was a retired life insurance salesman.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Gertie Carson Morgan, he is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Robert B. Powell, his sister, Mrs. C L Battle Sr. of Augusta, his brother, Frank N. Morgan of Columbia, his granddaughter Mrs C J Autry of Augusta, his grandson, Robert Powell Jr. of Augusta, a great grandson and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 5 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church with the Rev W.T. Chowning officiating. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Park. The body will be at his residence until the hour of his funeral.
