Between 1900-1907 Malinda was the daughter of John William Wolf and Mary Ann Maston). Ruben had 3 siblings; Joseph E. Fox (b. 1873 d. Unknown), Purnie Belle Fox (b. 1873 d. 1961 She was married twice, the first in 1890, to Jacob Keele and they had 1 son; William Maston Keele, and the second marriage was to James Thomas Walls in 1896), and John Crockett Fox (b. 1876 d. 1952 married Sarah Adline Fox, daughter of Harburn Riley Fox and Elvira Grant). Ruben was married twice, the firs to Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Sadler. They had 4 girls together; Bessie Pearl(1909-1995 Married Manson Farley Worsham) Gertrude Velma (1911-2002 Married Alvin Erickson) , Lillie Belle (1913-2003), Mattie Merle (1917-2011 Was married twice, the first to Everett Clifton Wood, and the second to Freeman Baker, 1909-1996).
After the death of Betty, Ruben married her sister, Pearl Rosa Sadler. They had 2 sons together; Ruben Curby, Jr. (1923-1963), and James Crockett (1923-1993). All of the children were born in Oklahoma.
