Services for Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Clifton, 96, were held at the home, five miles west of Newcastle, Texas where she passed away. Rev. Joe Mayes pastor of First Methodist Church at Megargel officiated.
Survived by four sons - J.A. Clifton, I Clifton; I. W. Clifton, Watt Clifton, four daughters - Mrs. J.P. Dennis, Mrs. Ellen McBride, Mrs. Frances Holcomb, Mrs. Dell Dake; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Mrs. Clifton has 141 descendants. She died in the home, five miles west of Newcastle, Texas that she has lived in since 1886.
