WHITAKER JR., 67, of Memphis, retired and charter minister of Knight Arnold Church of Christ after 33 years, died Monday of complications following surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Knight Arnold Church of Christ with burial in Memorial Park. Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge. He was a member of Great Oaks Church of Christ, a World War II Navy veteran and instructor for Memphis School of Preaching. Mr. Whitaker, the husband of Cora Sue Minor Whitaker, also leaves three sons, J. Michael Whitaker of Pittsburgh, Pa., Emory L. Whitaker III and John D.
