Joseph Selbach and Helena Ford were probably married in mid 1850's in Concord (Morgan County), Illinois and lived there until the early 1860's and moving to Decatur county Indiana.
Note: Joseph Selbach wasted no time in remarrying. He remarried Elizabeth Lamping on January 28,1873 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Elizabeth had a daugther Mary (about three years old.)
Records show that Joseph and Elizabeth both were born in Dinklage, Germany. Census records show that Elizabeth is thirteen years difference in their ages. Mary's records show that she was born in Greensburg, Indiana. This is where Joseph and Helena lived before moving to Kansas in 1869.
