Mrs. Elizabeth Selbach --- Passed away August 4, 1933 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Haug (Pauline Selbach) at Onaga, Kansas. She was a native of Dinklage, Germany who came to America in 1869, when she was 20 years old. She lived at be 84 years old.

Before her Marriage to Joseph Selbach in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1873, her name was Elizabeth Lamping. They lived in Clear Creek township for a few years and then moved to Seneca. Her husband preceded he in death some years ago. About five years ago, Mrs. Selbach left Seneca and made her home with her daughter, Mrs August Haug where she remained until her death.

The deceased is survived by two sons: Julius and Joseph Selbach, Topeka; and four daughters: Mrs. Rose Almquist, Topeka, Mrs. Lena Henning, Corning; Mrs. Pauline Haug, Onaga; and Mrs. Mary Simmons, Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Following his first wife's (Helena Ford) death, Joseph Selbach returned to Indiana where he married Elizabeth Lamping in Cincinnati, Ohio. She had a Daughter Mary when she married Joseph Selbach. It appears that he knew her--because both grew up in Dinklage, Germany.
