"Joseph Lucian Royall, 75, 427 Post St. (941 West), died Sunday, 6:30 a.m., at his residence after a heart ailment.
Born Nov. 11, 1887, North Carolina, to James and Asanath (sp: Aseneath) Godwin Royall. Married Hazel Melvina Rowe, Feb. 17, 1910, Salt Lake City. Later solemnized, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. General contractor.
Survivors: widow; sons, daughters, Steven J., Santa Ana, Calif.; J. Daniel, Paul F., Mrs. A.J. (Elvie) Leary, Mrs. Don (Hazel) Vaughn, Mrs. Albert (Betty Jean) Aardema, all Salt Lake City; Joseph Lucian, Commercial City Colo.; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Louis Adrian, both Salt Lake City.
Funeral Wednesday, noon, Twenty-fifth LDS Ward Chapel, 438 S. 8th West. Friends call 2350 E. 13th South Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., and chapel prior to services Wednesday. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery."
