Hazel Mae Royall Vaughn, age 85, passed away on May 2, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah.


She was born September 26, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Lucian and Hazel Melvina Rowe Royall.


Hazel married Donald Lee Vaughn on August 28, 1961 in SLC. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was passionate about her membership in the Salt Lake Symphonic Choir, where she was a member for over 20 years.


She loved her two daughters; Kathleen (Alan) Done and Carolyn (George) Thornton, with whom she resided, her 11 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She was an active member of the LDS Church. Preceded in death by her husband.


Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 12 Noon in the Ivins Ward Chapel (1860 South 300 East). Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple Street) on Monday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
