SENECA - Leo Mueting,62, of Seneca, died Thursday at a Norton hospital. He had been in ill health for 4 years.
He was born June 15, 1909 at Seneca and had lived in Nemaha County until 1969. He then moved to Walsenburg, Colo., in 1969 and to Norton 6 months ago. He was a retired farmer.
Mr. Mueting was a member of the Seneca Sts. Peter and Paul Catholioc Church, St. Joseph's Society of the church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was married Aug. 12, 1936 at Baileyville to Marie Buessing. She survives.
Other surviviors include 2 sons, Tom Mueting, Seneca, and Dick Mueting, Dodge City; 8 daughters, Mrs. Leo Boeckman, Norton, Sister Mary Denise, Great Bend. Mrs. Boyd Brown, Manhattan, Mrs. Lester Fangman, Seneca, Mrs. John Rottinghaus, Seneca, Miss Patricia Mueting, Seneca, Sister Helen, Baileyville, Miss Rita Mueting, Wichita; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Frank, Herman, John and Lawrence Mueting, all of Seneca, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Barney Helman, Seneca, Mrs. Edward Moynagh, Hiawatha, and Mrs. Leo Helman, Baileyville.
Services will be Sat. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with burial in their cemetery.
