CYNTHIA ABRAHAMSON

Cynthia Abrahamson was born Nov. 7, 1884, in Lucas County, Iowa, the first child of Cyrus and Mary Elizabeth Miller. She passed away on Jan. 23, 1984, at the Wayne County Hospital of congestive heart failure. She was 99 years old.

On Feb. 28, 1906, she was united in marriage to Charles Oscar Abrahamson. Six children were born to this union: Mildred, who died in 1914; Mary Feight of Chariton; Evelyn McCormick of Indianola; Lavon DeJoode of Knoxville; Pearl Ewing, who passed away in 1978 in Minnesota; and Glenn Abrahamson of Russell, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two children, her parents, four sisters, three brothers and one grandchild.

Also surviving are: one brother, Jeremiah Miller of Albia; 24 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 26, 1984, at 1:30 p.m. at the Mosher Funeral Home in Chariton. The service was conducted by Rev. Jerry Hambleton. Burial was in the Oxford Cemetery.
