Funeral for Marnell Branton, 60, of Nacogdoches will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. M.A. Ervin, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Appleby. Mrs. Branton was born Nov. 28, 1928 in Nacogdoches, the daughter of David B. Tindall and Emily (Arnold) Tindall. She died Friday, Nov. 24, at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Branton was a dietician for more than 12 years at Memorial Hospital. She had formerly worked as a beautician. She was raised in the Appleby area. Survivors include: four sons, James Branton of Shelbyville, Joe Branton, Kenneth Ray Branton and Leroy Branton, all three of Nacogdoches; two daughters, Lynda Branton and Mary Walker, both of Nacogdoches; one brother, Willie T. Tindall of Blackjack; two sisters, Maurine West and Lowella Averett, both of Nacogdoches; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Scott Cagle, Wayne Tindall, Charles Rambin, Paul Turnham, James Owens, and Gary Heflin. Laird Funeral Home will direct services.
