Dr. and Mrs. Meriwether have been married 52 years today. The doctor is 74 years old and Mrs. Meriwether 70. Dr. Meriwether is as strong and active as the average man of 45 and thinks nothing of mounting his horse and riding fifteen or twenty miles to see a patient. Mrs. Meriwether's mother is 94 and does her own house work. Dr. Meriwether's father was hale and hearty at 85 but was stricken with typhoid fever, from which he died.
