Hobart M. Darst
Hobart M. Darst, 81, Middleport, passed away on May 31, 2005, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, OH.
He was born on August 3, 1923, in Gallia County, son of the late Ray and Irene Daniel Darst.
He was a graduate of Middleport High School. He was an Army-Air Corp veteran of World War II and received a Purple Heart for combat service in Germany.
He also served in the U. S. Air Force until he retired in 1969. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Middleport and a member of the Middleport Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by brothers, Kenneth Darst and Delmar Darst sister, Ann Biron.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Kathleen Williams, Middleport;
sister-in-law, Helen Darst, Middleport; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2005, at the Fisher Funeral Home in Middleport. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery and military services will be conducted graveside.
Friends may call on Thursday, June 2, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
