Ray Darst of
Cheshire Dies

Ray Darst, 81, Cheshire, Rt. 2, died at home Monday. Born March 22, 1890 in Meigs County, Mr. Darst was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mary Jane Goff Darst. He was also preceded in death by a son, two brothers, and one granddaughter.

Mr. Darst was a retired car repairman for the New York Central Railroad. He was a member of the Middleport Church of Christ and Modern Woodman Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Daniel Darst; two daughters, Mrs. C.P. (Kathleen) Williams, and Mrs. Jules (Ann) Biron, both of Middleport; two sons, Kenneth E., Middleport, and Hobart M., Cheshire, Rt. 2, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Rawlings-Coats Funeral Home with the Rev. Raullin Moyer officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery at Cheshire.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
