Mrs. Virginia Frances Meyer, 57, of Ripley, Tenn., died Jan. 3, 1989 at Memphis. Born June 26, 1931 in Caruthersville, she was the daughter of James W. and Annie Myrtle Jones McCormick. She was a member of Ashport Baptist Church Mission in Ripley.
She is survived by her husband, McCoy Meyer Jr. of Ripley; One son, Bill Meyer of Ripley; Two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Jones of Memphis and Mrs. Katrena Kirkpatrick of Ripley; Her mother, Mrs. Annie Myrtle McCormick of Caruthersville; Three sisters, Mrs. Ann Grady of Pascola, Mrs. Lavonne Ramsey of Caruthersville and Mrs. Phyllis Whittemore of Ripley.
And three grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. at H.S. Smith Funeral Home chapel in Caruthersville, the Rev. Glynn Medlin and the Rev. Marvin Sanders officiating, with burial in Maple Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Nathan McClendon, Lawrence Winters, James Stricklin, Jimmy Matthews, Rick Lane and Vernon Jones.
